Heroforge: Achilles

"Sing, O goddess, the anger of Achilles son of Peleus, that brought countless ills upon the Achaeans. Many a brave soul did it send hurrying down to Hades, and many a hero did it yield a prey to dogs and vultures, for so were the counsels of Jove fulfilled from the day on which the son of Atreus, king of men, and great Achilles, first fell out with one another."

- Iliad (1.1-8), Homer

I decided to recreate in Heroforge the greatest of all Achaean heroes who fought in Trojan War.

As Achilles was a king of Myrmidons, who were known for their black armours, because they were believed to be descended from ants, I tried to pay homage to that. The horns on his helmet are supposed to represent the ant's jaws.

Keeping with the tradition, Achilles is a blonde. He could be clean shaven, but I'm working within limitations. If he wears a helmet, he can't show off his glorious golden locks, and if he doesn't wear a helmet, then he'll just look really lame.

So this is the result.

Here is the link to the model.
